We did it! My sweet birthin' family and I relocated to Colorado. I will always love the Tulsa, Oklahoma area for giving me my start in childbirth education (and even the pregnancy and birth of my third sweet babe!) but the time came for us to move near family. Our marriage needed investing. Our children needed more of us. Birth Fearless wasn't established well. It made sense to go. So we left. Returning to Castle Rock just over 5 years after leaving it. We left a young married couple and returned with three BOYS and lots of experiences and relationships that shaped and molded us. I do not regret moving. I do not regret coming back.
We have enjoyed cousin time here. It melts my heart to watch my boys all have a cousin to play with. They are quickly becoming best friends. We are already seeing how God can use us here. How he equipped us in the Bible Belt and has brought us back to serve, give, and live. Birth Fearless has a role in that as well. The birth industry in our town of 60,000 people is bright! The new hospital boasts fabulous C-Section rates (less than 15%!!!), well trained staff, and glorious admenties to offer laboring women. I am working on getting word out that I AM HERE! I am offering classes! There aren't many educators here and it's a need! It's thrilling to feel needed. We are almost settled in our new little home. In the next few weeks i hope to be handing out business cards, getting a tour of the hospital, and network building with other local birth professionals. In the meantime, I have new birth videos to watch - a great addition to my classes!
It is my intention to blog regularly. Please share! Please tell your friends and remember to Birth Fearless!
